They were very nice to offer us a table without a reservation and well spoken English. If we could give 6* we would. We had 2 platers of 5 different cuts of Wagyu, seasonal vegetables plater, 3 types of kimchi, bone broth with noodles, stone grilled garlic rice, 2 deserts and umeshu. If you make a table reservation beforehand, you can get a tasting menu. We recommend it without hesitation.

after a long day spent in kimonos with friends, we were craving japanese beef and stumbled upon this restaurant right before opening. fortunately, we were seated right away, and ordered whatever looked enticing. after grilling the meat, we were met with the juiciest, tender, and most flavorful meat, especially the wagyu. what we ordered wasn’t enough, so we kept ordering more . further, the staff were so nice and hospitable and the atmosphere/interior was cozy and quaint. overall, I would highly recommend!

Must visit this place in Kyoto. Service is excellent! Food is amazing. We ordered biggest variety of meat serve including vegetables inside and it was enough for 2 person. In the end, dont forget to order Creme Brulee to spoil yourself, will not regret:)) Amazing!!

We loved this place so much that we came back twice in two days, and it was just as incredible the second time. In over 30 years of traveling around the world, this is truly one of the best meats we have ever tasted. The Wagyu is simply outstanding. The quality, the tenderness, the flavor, everything is on another level. It melts in your mouth, it’s perfectly balanced, and you can immediately tell you are eating something exceptional. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They speak excellent English, explain everything clearly, and are incredibly kind and attentive. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Service is also impressively fast, the food arrives quickly, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is something. Sitting on the small tatami mats creates such a cozy, intimate setting. It’s quiet, peaceful, and you feel completely undisturbed, almost like being in your own little cocoon. There’s no noise, no stress, just a calm and warm ambiance that makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Everything about this restaurant feels thoughtful and refined. It’s not just about eating, it’s about feeling good, relaxed, and taken care of. If you are in Kyoto and want an authentic, cozy, and truly exceptional Wagyu experience, this place is a must. We will absolutely be back next time we visit.

Amazing restaurant – one of the best dinners I've ever had! The meat was simply delicious, and the setting was beautiful, with the option to dine either on tatami mats or at a traditional table. The decor was stunning, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the whole evening. Everything was just perfect. Absolutely and highly recommended!

Ohhh that beef was so tasty! We had the chateaubriand and sirloin and it was so so good. I think the pricing was reasonable for the quality of food. We booked by walking in the day before and it was no trouble to get a table 24 hours notice (in July after their festival). The ambience was great - seating traditional and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a great experience.

We had an excellent meal here. The service was very welcoming even though we walked in with no reservation, sweaty and with tourist attire. This meal landed easily as one of our top 3 meals in the world as our experience was highly pleasant. Side note, not the most inexpensive meal but worth every yen. Very kid friendly, very private and intimate.Highly recommend.
